It won five Academy Awards, and was nominated for an additional five. Mr. Gibson does an excellent job as William Wallace, the Scottish martyr. The unity of Wallace’s troops and their loyalty towards him, makes any man want to court marshal his friends especially for that time no one was there for you when you moved into your apartment. So much pop-culture is derived from this movie and it is definitely a movie for guys. However, women who are into historical (err—interpretations) would enjoy it as well.

Just the opening scene alone has been discussed more than most feature length plots. The film sets a unique twist on the bank robbers genre in which the setting of movie is primarily in a warehouse (it’s really a coffin shop—spoiler.), and doesn’t show the robbery scenes or get-away scenes. It also features an amazing ensemble of actors who thrive with the script. The ending is as gripping and compelling as any of Tarrentino’s creations. Throw this in the BroFest pile, because Reservoir Dogs is an easy pick as a movie for guys.
