Hennessey Venom GT, Fastest Sports Car Ever At 270 MPH
The Hennessey Venom GT has officially set a new land speed record for sports cars on a landing strip at Cape Canaveral, Florida! After speeding down the landing runway for the Space Shuttle on Valentine’s Day, the Hennessey Venom GT brought the land speed record for sports cars back to the United States by reaching a top speed of
270.49 miles per hour. The old record of 269.86 was held by Bugatti’s Veyron Super Sport, SUCKS TO BE YOU…but not really. What’s even crazier than breaking the old record? It was STILL ACCELERATING as it crossed the finish line!!
With a time of 14.5 seconds, the car also set a record for fastest from 0-200 miles per hour.
Want one? You can buy it if you have $1 Million to burn!
Hennessey has built and delivered, only, 11 Venom GTs. Each car is built to order, just like the Bugatti, and takes six months to complete.
Unfortunately, the production run will be limited to a total of just 29 units worldwide, which makes the Venom GT not only the fastest, but also one of the most exclusive hyper-cars ever produced.
