Serial Tickler Breaking into Boston College Students’ Homes
If you ask most college dudes, they would probably tell you that it would be their dream to be woken up by someone teasing them and tickling their feet. However, for some Boston College students, it has turned into their nightmare. This is no laughing matter, folks. A man in Boston has been breaking into the homes of Boston College students and tickling their feet as they sleep. Multiple students have reported the tickler having broken into their homes over the last two years between Lake Street and South Street in Brighton. The students have described the mad tickler as a roughly 5 foot 8 black man wearing a hoodie and dark clothing. “This is no myth…It’s happening,” said Sergeant Michael O’Hara, community service officer for the Boston Police district.
Multiple students, such as Teddy Raddell’s roommate, have reported hearing someone run down their stairs and out of their house after being tickled. “I thought my roommate had fallen down the steps,” Raddell said, “but then he started yelling. I got up and he said that he had woken up to someone touching his feet.” “The guy didn’t take anything and there were laptops and wallets out in the main room,” said Raddell.
Daniel Marenzi thought his roommates were just playing a trick on him the night he was victimized. “I thought my friend was just trying to annoy me, but I soon realized it wasn’t anyone I knew,” Marenzi says. “I freaked out and sat up but he was already on the way out.”
Jake Barrows, a BC junior who was awaken a few weeks ago during the 3 o’clock hour, was also targeted by the Tickler. “Someone was standing at the end of the bed, and by the time I realized there was someone really there, he was booking it right out my door,” said Barrows. “When I was finally out of bed and following, he was out the back door.”
There are many other stories about the Tickler and the Tickler is still at large. BC students are worried about the situation and want Boston police to do more to stop more innocent victims from being tickled. What would you do if you or a friend was victimized by the Tickler? Would you hire an attorney, a private investigator, or install a private security system in your home? These students probably cannot afford any of those measures and cannot take out a home equity loan to be able to afford end the laughs. One thing is for certain, there will be a whole bunch of students who are tickled pink when this guy is caught.
