University of Wisconsin-Madison (UWMa) Badgers | Top Party Schools Review
University of Wisconsin-Madison
“The nightlife scene at UW goes hard, which makes sense for such a large school. The Greek presence at this school isn’t very large, and they do not dominate the nightlife the way Greeks do at other big schools. Instead, UW students are an interesting collection of very different people, but really, most of them are white. The two things that these people have in common; their love of the Badgers sports teams and partying. UW’s football and basketball teams are highly respected around thenation. They always field competitive football teams, and…if you like three pointers, their basketball squad is a lot of fun to watch. Each year, students anxiously wait for two events; the annual Mifflin Street Block Party, a continuation of a long-standing tradition, and the Halloween party in Madison. Both of these parties turn out huge crowds. The last Mifflin Block Party took place in 2012, the 2013 event was canceled/not-canceled due to some confusion. Badgers partied anyway. It’s understandable how everyone became so confused after 2012′s block party. According to wikipedia,
“Controversy surrounded the 2012 Mifflin Street Block Party which occurred on May 5, 2012. Montee Ball, a Heisman award candidate was cited for Trespassing. Patrick Kane, a star forward for the Chicago Blackhawks, reportedly choked a woman at a house party and made anti-semitic slurs at another altercation. Photos surfaced of him partying with women on Mifflin, yelling at Madison Police officers, and passed out at a local bar.” But whatever, he’s Patrick Kane. ” – Ben King…He’s a Badger.

Greek Life at UWMa: There is Greek life present, but most students do their own thing. The rest of the campus get along well with the Greek population, and vice versa.
Bars/Hangouts at UWMa:
State Street Brats
